Traps to avoid

After having hiked in humid conditions, it’s better not to leave mud to dry on the boot and become encrusted in the seams. If the shoes are leather ones, the mud is at risk of drying it out and therefore getting rid of its qualities.Leaving your boots to dry near a heat source risks damaging them. Too strong a heat dries out the leather. What’s more, it can reactivate the glues used to assemble the upper and the sole. The phenomenon may also affect the inserted supports in the boots and misshape them.So avoid leaving your boots on a terrace in bright sunlight, at the back of a car, or even in front of a fireplace.
