A great jacket for UK weather
Excellent waterproofing Sizing. UK Large is closer to Medium

Good, lightweight waterproof for walking/hiking and everyday use. The sizing is on the small size so I'd advise taking a size larger than your usual especially if pairing with a fleece or jumper

    Large Aroenaz 300 jacket
    Great fit and style Non

Bought this to go hiking in as didn't want to ruin north face jacket. Wish had bought this before north face as just as good (this actually has better ventilation but slightly less water proofing) and fraction of price

Tips

Care instructions
Wash at 30°C. Use liquid detergent; do not add fabric conditioner. Fasten zips and rip-tabs before washing. With each wash, renew the fabric's water repellent properties using a suitable treatment. All our Decathlon stores offer a complete range of products specially designed to care for water-resistant and breathable fabrics. These products will help you optimise your garment's performance throughout its lifespan.
Storage Tips
Always make sure that this waterproof protective garment is completely dry before storing it.

Additional recommended products
Care products: waterproofing spray or liquid in the machine to renew the fabric water-repellent properties and optimise performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
Waterproof component
We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure, expressed as a water column of mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood, the more waterproof the fabric. Components scoring 2000 mm can resist the pressure from 2000 mm of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting two hours).
Waterproofing
This garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9<RET<12 = very breathable fabric / 12<RET<20 = breathable fabric / RET>20 = little or no breathability.
Component with coating or a membrane
Like a layer of "paint" applied on the underside of the fabric to make it waterproof while remaining breathable. It is often less costly than a membrane, and requires a lining for protection. The membrane is like a very fine plastic film (polyurethane) making the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It has the advantage of being more supple, lightweight, durable and often more breathable than the coating.
Water repellency
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every three washes). All Quechua waterproof overtrousers have received water repellent treatment.
Environmental measurements
The environmental impact of each product is calculated for the product's entire life cycle, using different indicators. A general ABCDE mark is attributed to help you identify the best environmental performance by comparing products to each other (t-shirts, rucksacks, etc). Decathlon is a voluntary supporter of the environmentally-friendly labelling approach. For more information visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/
