    Are they boots?
Good fit, treed. Ample parking for my toes too. Not the singles bounce.

Well they look like shoes to me. Cheap as chips but with just enough credibility to pull off a trend setter look. Only thing missing was a climbing wall but feel free to jog on the rope bridge to see they don't fall off.

Features

Crosscontact sole
Lengthy research into the design of the sole in our laboratories, combined with a special rubber formulation which optimises the balance between traction and adhesion. The design of the Arpenaz 50 sole gives adhesion rather than traction. Traction: does not slide on loose earth (slippery or dry). Adhesion: does not slide on hard ground (moist or dry).
Buying tips
Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying them on. Don't hesitate to walk around the store. Gradually start using you shoes during your first few hiking trips to break them in.
What size should I choose?
For hiking, take the size above your usual shoe size to ensure optimum comfort when travelling downhill and to prevent your from hitting the tips of the shoes. Tip: keep your toenails short and check that your laces stop your foot from sliding to the front of the shoes before you start downhill.
