    Kid-proof all rounder
Comfy, light, grippy, good toe protection None

Cannot fault these for the price. Light but well built. Good grippy sole and reinforced toe box. Only consideration is if your kid wants warmer waterproof feet it's only a few more pounds to move up to lined ones.
Son walked 10 miles in these last weekend and no blisters! Highly recommended.

Buying Tips
Allow children to try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying them on. Don't hesitate to allow then to walk around the store. Make children gradually break into the shoes when first worn so that they adapt to their feet.
Which size should I select?
For hiking, do not hesitate to buy one size larger than the usual size to guarantee excellent comfort on the descent and to avoid toes rubbing at the tip of the shoe. Recommendation: nails must be cut short, and before descending, check that the laces stop the foot from slipping forward to the front of the shoe.
