Care instructions
To ensure materials retain their properties (especially waterproofing), we recommend you do not machine wash, tumble dry, dry-clean, or bleach your backpack. Do not iron. To clean your backpack by hand, use warm soapy water and a brush if needed. After a few years of use, you should renew the water repellent properties of the fabric using a waterproofing spray.
Storage Tips
Store your bag in a dry place.
Restricted use
Not waterproof; protect your belongings in case of rain.

Backpack technical tests.
We carry out laboratory tests to check components: fabrics, buckles, straps, foam, zips... For example, with fabrics: resistance to rubbing, tearing, colour-fastness under UV rays, washing, waterproofing...A test on the final product which speeds up the effects of impact on the backpack over the years, to check resistance of the assemblies: with ballasts, they are placed on a mannequin and the movements which accompany quick walking over thousands of cycles are reproduced.
10-year warranty, technical partner
The heavy clothing research and development service, a partner of Quechua, overseeing the research and approval of components and assemblies, completed tests simulating ageing of backpacks. These tests focused on the components, seams and the end product. The results enable Quechua and DECATHLON to guarantee these tested bags for 10 years from the purchase date on the till receipt.
10-year warranty conditions
The warranty covers backpack defaults, with the exception of those resulting from standard wear and tear and abnormal usage conditions. This special 10-year warranty will only be applied upon presentation of the product and till receipt, and where the product is covered by the warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. This commercial warranty does not exclude applicable legal warranties dependent on the country and/or State.
How is bag volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standard method: small balls are used to fill the main compartment as well as each pocket. We then empty the balls into a graduated container which provides the equivalent volume in litres with a tolerance ranging a couple of %. The weight when empty is that displayed by our reference sample. There may be slight variations.
How do I adjust my backpack?
FIRSTLY, LOOSEN all the buckles (straps, belt, load boosters). PUT ON THE BAG. For bags of 50 l and more, PLACE THE BELT ON THE HIPS (it must cover the pelvic iliac bones) AND TIGHTEN IT. For smaller volumes, place around the waist. TIGHTEN THE STRAP BUCKLES. Finally, ADJUST THE LOAD BOOSTERS to your liking.
How do I fill my backpack?
Place sleeping equipment at the bottom. Place heavy materials near the back (tent, camping stove, food). Clothing should be placed around them. The ground sheet should be placed under the flap; the tent should be placed under the bag where there is no space inside. Keep waterproof jackets and fleece close to hand. Small items will be divided amongst the pockets (sun cream, card, glasses...). The water pocket is generally placed in the compartment which runs along the back.
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated across its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall ABCDE score is attributed to help you more readily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental information. For more information visit:
