    Girls coat

I liked the coat and it is good quality but I was disappointed by the thickness of the fleece. It was not warm enough for Winter and my granddaughter was cold.

    Nice little coat

I bought this coat for my daughter to take away on a residential as they required a waterproof coat. It was ideal as she could just use the fleece when she was cold and add the jacket part when needed. We have also just come back from a holiday in Scotland and it kept her nice and dry during the showers! This coat will be useful to just use as a rain jacket during the summer months.

    Great value coat

Bought the orange version for my other daughter and can honestly say they are great value waterproofs. The only problem with Decathlon is the sizes come up really small. Ordered 10 year old for my 7 year old, who is slight in build. It is a only a bit large. Apart from that it is a brilliant dual purpose coat.

Features

What do you mean by a waterproof jacket?
The resistance of a fabric to water seepage. This is measured using an approved water pressure test. Bearing in mind that the average pressure of rain water varies between 2000 mm and 1000 mm, a fabric is considered to be waterproof from 2000 mm. Our products resist pressure from 2000 to 10,000 mm. They are therefore very waterproof and suited to even the most extreme weather conditions.
What do you mean by sealed seams or waterproof strips?
Its seams are sealed (or taped) using heat-sealed, waterproof strips. They are placed behind the seams and are essential for waterproofing clothing so that water cannot enter through capillarity (water being absorbed by the threads and holes of the fabric).
Fleece material: Insulates using the air
The fleece component is designed to trap air thanks to the volume created by its texture; the air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm. It is the brushing of the knit fabric that traps the air.
Windproof:
Coating applied to the fabric makes it waterproof and windproof. A waterproof fabric has the technical characteristics needed to be windproof certified. Protect yourself from the wind, when moving or stationary, is vital because of the wind's powerful chilling effect.
Washing:
1/ Machine wash (30°C): hook and loop fasteners, soft wash. Wash jackets and trousers inside out. Loosen the straps and elasticated parts. 2/ Do not fold the garment too much in the machine: may wear out more quickly. 3/ Do not mix clothing types and colours. 4/ Do not use bleach. 5/ Choose a full rinse and gentle spin cycle.
Drying:
Choose: line or tumble dry (low temperature, short cycle). Caution: Don't leave NOVADRY® garments on a heat source such as a radiator, as this may damage the breathable membrane or coating.
