Storage Tips
Ensure that this protective, waterproof garment is perfectly dry before storing it in a dry place, preferably on a hanger to prevent creases from damaging the fabric.

What do you mean by a waterproof jacket?
The resistance of a fabric to water seepage. This is measured using an approved water pressure test. Knowing that the average water pressure of rain varies from 1000mm to 2000mm, a fabric is considered waterproof above 2000mm. Our products can withstand pressure of between 2,000 and 10,000 mm which means they are very waterproof and suitable for all types of weather including extreme conditions.
What do you mean by sealed seams or waterproof strips?
These sealed (or taped) seams are closed with waterproof thermo-sealed strips. They are placed behind the seams and are essential for waterproofing clothing so that water cannot enter through capillarity (water being absorbed by the threads and holes of the fabric).
Fleece component: Insulation provided by trapped air
The texture of the fleece component creates volume which helps trap air; the natural insulating property of air keeps the body warm. It's the brushed knit that helps trap the air.
Coating applied to the fabric makes it waterproof and windproof. Waterproof fabric has the necessary technical characteristics to be considered windproof. Protection from the wind is critical, as whether playing sports or at rest, wind can chill the body significantly.
1/ Machine wash (30°C): fasten rip-tabs and use mild detergent. Wash jackets and trousers inside out. Loosen the straps and elasticated parts. 2/ Do not fold the garment too much in the machine: may wear out more quickly. 3/ Do not mix clothing types and colours. 4/ Do not use bleach. 5/ Choose a full rinse and gentle spin cycle.
A score to help compare products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated across its entire life cycle using different indicators. Every product is awarded an overall ABCDE score so you can identify products with the best environmental performance more easily by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to displaying information about product's environmental impact.
