    Great Value!

I let my son (8) choose his own raincoat in store & this is the one he opted for. He said he liked the bright colours & also the fact that it was lined with a fine mesh - apparently the unlined ones really make him sweat uncomfortably. He's worn it a few times now in wet weather, from a light drizzle to full-on downpour & it kept him dry. I like that it's an unusual colourway as his navy & black ones have often 'gone missing' at nursery & school in the past as they're so common. I'd highly recommend this & all the other various Quechua branded products I've bought from Decathlon, from tents to sleeping bags to hiking boots to tops - always very impressed with good designs, attention to detail, durability etc.

Really good hasn't been fully tested in the rain
Excellent value, lightweight non so far

My son really likes this coat and for the price excellent value hasn't really been tested by a heavy downpour so can't comment on how it copes with wet weather

Features

Waterproofing:
The resistance of a fabric is measured at a water pressure expressed in mm of a water tube (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproofing of 2000 mm resists therefore the pressure exerted by 200 0mm of water (which corresponds approximately to a downpour of one hour). Waterproofing is expressed in schmerbers (for example: 2000 schmerbers).
Garment waterproofing:
This product is designed to withstand the conditions of a downpour in the mountains.
Component breathability:
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the resistance, the more the fabric lets out the water vapor generated by an active body, so the more it is breathable. For example: RET <9 = extremely breathable fabric / 920 = little or no breathable fabric.
Durability of components:
Resistance to wear test: for example, we check that the fleeces do not pill using tests conducted in laboratories. Colour retention test: the colour fastness is verified to make sure that the colours do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Ageing test: Repeated washing must not alter the properties of the fabric, its shape, thickness or appearance.
A grade to compare the environmental impact of the products
The environmental impacts of the product are calculated over its entire life cycle and with different indicators. A global marking system ABCDE is made to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type to each other (T-shirts, pants, backpacks ...). Decathlon Is a voluntary participant of this environmental display process. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/
Care:
1/ Machine wash (30 to 40°C): Hook and loop fasteners, soft wash. Wash jackets and trousers inside out. Loosen the straps and elasticated parts. 2/ Do not fold the garment too much in the machine: Risk of deterioration.3/ Do not mix clothing styles and colours.5/ Do not bleach.6/ Select a copious rinse and a gentle spin. Choose: Either line or tumble dry (low temperature, short cycle). https://youtu.be/vCHVDyRwh3o
