Didnt think it would be that warm looking at it externally , but turning it inside out reveals a waffle type brushed inside that holds tiny pockets of warm air in, breathes well too.
I would wear with a thin baselayer if it was really cold below minus 2 with any wind blowing. You can layer up below and above this to use as baselayer or midlayer. also smart enough to wear casually. Large hood too that would cover a helmet.. I took a chance buying it in a sale after previously buying the 900 warm softshell fleece. excellent kit and at a fraction of what some of the other big brands are selling at.
I finished chasing brand labels after climbing kilimanjaro in a £14 decathlon jacket that was warmer than my £140 RAB jacket !

This is item is superb and possibly the technically accomplished that decathlon sell, from a big brand mountain retailer you'd pay £60-80 for a similar bit of kit.
You can wear this as a mid-layer with a thin base layer underneath, or as standalone base-layer in cold conditions, the stretch and freedom of movement is excellent for climbing and the hood fits well under a helmet.
I hope decathlon management will reintroduce this item and its not an end of line product. i'd buy another in an instant,
