    Stylish waterproof jacket

Purchased for my 30 year old fashion conscious son who was extremely pleased with my purchase and has worn it on several occasions.

Just what I was looking for!

Had been looking for a light weight, water proof jacket for some time. I spotted 2 of my neighbours wearing similar, and they were kind enough to point me in the direction of Decathlon. When I visited the store, I was a little disappointed not to find my preferred colour in my size. However I decided to take the Brown and I am exceedingly happy with my new jacket. So happy, I bought another to keep in the car. Excellent all round!

    Does the job

Nice lightweight jacket at a good price. Seems to keep the rain off as required. A couple of improvements could be to have a zip cover on the outside held down with Velcro and deeper pockets that mean things can be put in them without having to zip them up every time to stop it falling out. Other than that it's pretty good coat.

All our Decathlon stores offer a complete range of products specially designed to keep fabrics water-resistant and breathable. These products improve the performance of your garment throughout its lifespan.
Storage Tips
Always make sure that this waterproof protective garment is completely dry before storing it.

Waterproofing of the garment
This garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test replicates the average conditions of a rain shower. This jacket's fabric is water repellent: this is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it.This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight and breathable. A fabric becomes water repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. What's more, all the seams are taped.
How to maintain the waterproofness of your jacket long-term
In order to retain the item’s sustained, long-term waterproof properties, the water repellency of the fabric will need to be reactivated: we recommend every 3 washes, or after a dozen uses in the rain. When washing, abundant rinsing is essential, then reactivating the water repellent properties can easily be done in hot water: or with your tumble dryer or hair dryer for example, for a short time. You will find all our tips in the maintenance manual of this product sheet.
Additional recommended products
Raincut over-trousers to also protect the lower body and in this way you’ll have a very effective complete outfit to protect against wind and showers.
Hi-tech lining
Mesh body lining to enhance the garment's breathability this lining also makes it much more pleasant in contact with the skin.
Waterproof rating expressed in mm or Schmerber
We test a fabric's resistance to water pressure by measuring the height of a column of water supported by the fabric in mm (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The better the fabric resists pressure, the more waterproof it is. A component with a 2000 mm waterproof rating can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by 2000 mm column of water
Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we measure its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity can escape, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9<RET<12 = very breathable fabric / 12<RET<20 = breathable fabric / RET>20 = little or no breathability.
A score for comparing the environmental impact of the products
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall ABCDE rating is given to help you easily identify the most environmentally-friendly products by comparing them with other products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is a keen supporter of this eco-labelling system. For more information:
