    Great rucksack

I purchased the rucksack to replace one I have had for 10ish years. It does everything it needs to and well. Love the fact that there is a rain cover in the base (very handy on a day that starts sunny and ends in a downpour).

    Fantastic value!

Ended up swapping this for the smaller 20litre version as the 30litre is a bit big for day to day commuting but would definitely recommend this bag. The quality and styling is excellent!

    Great dual purpose backpack

I also have the 20 litre version (full review 'Great all-rounder' 31/7/17)
Feature-wise this one has an extra compartment at the base and a hip belt. Really cannot find fault especially at this price. If the fit is right for you I see no reason to spend more on a named-brand.

Storage Tips

Restricted use
When it rains, use the rain cover to protect your belongings

Laboratory test
We conduct laboratory tests to validate the following components: fabric, buckles, straps, padding, zips, etc. For example, for a fabric: abrasion and tearing resistance, colour-fastness to UV rays and washing, waterproofing, etc. A final test on the finished product simulates the treatment that the bag will have to endure over several years, to assess the strength of the assembly: we fill it with weights and place it on a dummy that replicates a fast walking motion over thousands of cycles.
10-year technical partnership warranty
The heavy stitching research and development department, Quechua's partner for researching and testing its components and assemblies, conducted tests simulating backpack ageing. The tests focused on the components, seams and final product. As a result of these tests, Quechua can guarantee all bags tested for a duration of 10 years from the date of purchase indicated on the sales receipt.
10-year warranty conditions
The warranty covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty is only valid with the product and sales receipt. If the product is covered by the warranty, it will be repaired free of charge or exchanged. This commercial warranty does not affect any statutory rights that are applicable in the country and/or states of purchase.
How is the volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.
How to adjust your backpack?
1 - Loosen all the straps (straps, hip belt, load adjuster straps). 2 - Put the backpack on. 3 - For backpacks with a capacity of 50 L or more, place the hip belt correctly (it should sit over the pelvis) and tighten it. For smaller backpacks, the belt should be placed around the waist. 4 -Tighten the shoulder straps. 5 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.
How to pack my backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Place heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet should be placed under the flap and the tent beneath the pack if there is no space inside. Make sure that your rainproof jacket and fleece are easily accessible. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
Environmental measurements
The environmental impact of each product is calculated for the product's entire life cycle, using different indicators. A general ABCDE rating is attributed to help you identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing similar types of product to each other (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to displaying environmental information. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/
