Our design team is based at the foot of Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, our designers create and develop products that are appealing, simple, and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field, as we remain convinced that only through rigorous testing under real world conditions, like the ones you will be using them in, can we continue to provide you with better products than ever.
Wash at 30°C. Use liquid detergent; do not add fabric conditioner. Fasten zips and rip-tabs before washing. With each wash, renew the fabric's water repellent properties using a suitable treatment. A complete range of products specially designed to help you care for waterproof and breathable fabrics is available in all Decathlon stores. These products will help optimise your garment's performance and longevity.
Keep on a hanger or folded in a clean, dry place.
Active cut: sits close to the body and made with elastane-based materials to provide an extra comfortable fit.
Absorption, Transfer, Quick Drying
Garments keep you dry on the inside. You won't be bothered by the perspiration your body generates during physical activities.
To find out whether a component is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability.
Water repellent component
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. This is achieved through a treatment applied to the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (after every wash). Water repellent treatment products are available in our stores. All Quechua waterproof overtrousers have received water repellent treatment.
