    Size guide incorrect!
Good styling, guide quality Too small due to incorrect size guide!

I would make this a private complaint however Decathlon don't seem to have a direct email address!
The only reason for one star is that after using the size guide it was recommended that I buy a 7. I am usually an 8, and I prefer a loose fitting boot, so I purchased an 8. They are REALLY tight!
    I would've preferred an 8.5 or even a 9.
I made the decision to buy an 8 purely on the size guides recommendation.

This needs to be rectified and I'd like to be contacted regarding my purchase!

I really like these boots and would like to change this to a positive review!

Footwear waterproofing test.
Tested both in the lab and real-world usage, NOVADRY®-equipped footwear guarantees optimum waterproofing and breathability. First, the shoe is immersed in water while internal air pressure is applied to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the footwear. Next, shoes are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking and half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.
3 levels of waterproofing.
During the waterproofing test, we test 3 levels of waterproofing: 2000 flexes (around 2 hours of walking), 4000 flexes (around 4 hours of walking) and 8000 flexes (around 8 hours of walking). Of course, after this test or in use, the shoe regains its original waterproofing once dry.
Shoe waterproofing level.
The Forclaz 500 Men's boots are waterproof for 4000 flexes.
Field tests.
All our shoes undergo use and comfort tests carried out by users who represent the target market in conditions identical to those found in typical use. Our Field Test Missions team up the product manager with people who aren't affiliated with QUECHUA, to test, improve, and validate our products.
Laboratory tests.
Other laboratory tests are also conducted to approve the quality of the following components: attachment of eyelets and webbing, assembly, toxicology, UV resistance, sole and upper component abrasion, accelerated ageing.
Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying them on. Don't hesitate to walk around the store. Gradually start using you shoes during your first few hiking trips to break them in.
