FRESH&BLACK TECHNOLOGY

MORE FRESHNESS AND DARKNESS FOR BETTER SLEEPING

HEAT REDUCTION

The fabric of the double-roof filters the UV rays with an UPF between 30 and 50 depending of the tent.

OBSCURITY

The outer patented FRESH&BLACK fabric: 99% obscurity even during the day.

  • Aluminium isolates from light

Ventilation

Depending on the tent, there are one or several ventilations; the space between the double-roof and on the floor all around the tent to allow air to flow between the chamber and the double-roof, so as to renew the air and limit as much as possible the natural condensation phenomenon.

EFFICIENT PROTECTION AGAINST BAD MOUNTAIN WEATHER: RAIN, DEW, HUMIDITY AND WIND.

WATERPROOFNESS

All Quechua tents are tested and validated in the field and in a laboratory. They need to resist a tropical rainfall similar to 200L/h during 4 hours. The double-roof has a waterproof coating and waterproofed seams, thanks to heat-sealed bands.
The presence of a chamber in breathable polyester helps to avoid contact with drops of water from condensation that can form on the inner side of the double-roof. Lastly, the coating of the floor mat is reinforced to avoid water penetration coming from the ground.

WIND RESISTENCE

We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind. The tent -correctly assembled and with all the awnings open- must remain habitable in winds measured between 40 and 60 kph (Force 5 to 6), depending on the tent.
