Outer fabric : 100.0% Polyester (PES) Inside room : 100.0% Polyester (PES) Pole : 100.0% Aluminium
QUECHUA tents are assembled and tested for waterproofing in tropical rain conditions (200 L water/sqm/h) for 4 hours to ensure no water gets in through the seams, flaps, openings and zips etc. The water column test (=mm schmerbers) measures the fabric's waterproof properties. Wind resistance: tents are set up in a wind tunnel with a rotating platform to expose each side of the tent to the wind. We also carry out numerous field tests in real-life conditions.
Designed to

Care instructions
1 CLEANING - clean the tent with soapy water, if needed, and then rise (hose down if possible). Then dry thoroughly. 2 RESIN STAIN - very difficult to remove: once dry, scratch carefully and position an ice cube on the inner surface to make it more brittle so that it will flake off more easily. 3 STORAGE – after use or cleaning, ensure your tent is perfectly dry before storing to prevent odours and mould from forming..
Storage Tips
Storage: after use or cleaning, ensure your tent is perfectly dry before storing to prevent odours and mould from forming.

Pitching/Taking down
Quick to pitch/take down. Pre-assembled flysheet and bedroom. Poles are attached to sleeves in tent, so you can save precious time when pitching. It is just as quick to take down. To store the tent in the cover, simply attach the poles together in elastics (once folded), fold up the tent until it's roughly the width of the cover and then tightly roll up the tent and poles.
All Quechua tents are laboratory tested (whole tent under 200 L/sqm/h for 4 hours) as well as field tested. 40 denier polyester flysheet, PU coating (inside) and silicone coating (outside), 75 denier polyester ground sheet. All seams are sealed using thermobonded tape. Bedroom in breathable, water repellent 40D polyester and mosquito netting to help prevent contact with condensation .
Wind resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a rotating platform where we can expose each side of the tent to the wind. To test its wind resistance, the tent must be properly pitched, taut but not stretched, with all the guy ropes in position around the tent. It should remain habitable at wind speeds of 70km/h, measured near ground level.
Ventilation and condensation prevention
Bedroom with mosquito netting for ventilation and water repellent fabric to prevent condensation and draughts. Large vent at front of tent's fly sheet and additional vent at feet end. To reduce condensation inside your tent, it must be properly assembled, with the fabric kept taut without over-stretching. Use of vents and good air circulation will help reduce humidity inside your tent.
Sun protection
The flysheet fabric has an UPF rating of 30 and filters out UV rays. Please note: a significant amount of UV radiation can pass through a single open door. Protect your skin.
Eco design
20% recycled material for reduced environmental impact.
All tents sold by Decathlon are guaranteed for 2 years of normal use (your receipt or loyalty card is used as proof of purchase). In the event of a problem, have your tent checked out in your local Decathlon store. For spares parts and pole repairs visit your Decathlon store workshop.
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
A product's environmental impact is calculated across its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall ABCDE score is allocated so you can identify more easily those products with the best environmental performance by comparing similar products (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental information. For further information, visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/
