    great jacket
    Well designed, good fit,

Bought for my partner. Good value for money, fits better than jackets costing twice as much. Outer completely waterproof and windproof, inner looks great on it's own. He says it's the best jacket he's ever had!

Waterproof component
We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure, expressed as a water column of mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 2000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure of a 2000 mm column of water (which is approximately equivalent to a one-hour rain shower).
Technologies®: this garment has been subjected to a shower test using 100 litres of water/sqm/hour for 4 hours. This test reproduces the conditions of a violent storm in the mountains. Please visit Novadry.com for more information.
Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9<RET<12 = very breathable fabric / 12<RET<20 = breathable fabric / RET>20 = little or no breathability.
In addition to breathable fabrics, Quechua develops technical solutions (zips, ventilation, mesh etc.) to improve the overall ventilation of its trekking jackets and overtrousers.
Water repellency
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water to slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Water repellent treatment products are available in our stores. All Quechua waterproof jackets have received a water repellent treatment
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated based on its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall ABCDE score is given to help you identify products with the best environmental performance more readily by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental impact. For more information visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/
