    Best dog walking boots

Over the years I have bought that many types of hiking boots/ wellies for the many miles I walk come rain or shine. The day I found these were a godsend.
They have changed them slightly and they aren’t quite as good as the original ones, which were a full mould, however for the price you pay they are excellent.
I usually buy a pair every year and only replace them as I wear down the sole. They keep my feet, warm, dry and are so comfortable. I recommend them to everyone I know. Some people spend a fortune on brand name wellies and I hear them complain... not me in my decathlon’s. worth every penny.

    No good in snow

Having warn these twice in the snow, I have just realised that with the top not being waterproof, even in the smallest amount of snow my son's feet get soaked and cold. Them getting wet inside has also caused them to smell really bad. I would return them except we've had them nearly 3 months and i've only just realised plus they smell awful.

Footwear waterproofing test.
These boots, which are laboratory and field tested, provide optimum waterproofing and breathability. The boots are initially immersed in water with pressurised air inside to check for bubbles on the surface of the boot. Next, shoes are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking, half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.
3 levels of waterproofing.
During the waterproofing tests, we test 3 levels of waterproofing, with 2000 flexes (approx. equivalent to a 4 km walk), 4000 flexes (approx. equivalent to an 8 km walk) and 8000 flexes (approx. equivalent to a 16 km walk). Of course, after this test or in use, the shoe regains its original waterproofing once dry.
Boot waterproofing.
The 100 Active Warm are waterproof up to 8 000 flexes.
SNOWCONTACT technology.
SNOWCONTACT soles are made using a special component. Designs are optimised to provide excellent all-terrain grip and maximal traction all winter long. What's more, the SNOWCONTACT soles are more efficient than traditional soles on snow.
Measurement of the boots' thermal insulation.
It was not previously possible to give a precise idea of the temperature at which your shoes would still insulate your feet from the cold. Now it can be done: the temperature limits for use are shown on your Quechua shoes. Using cold sensing tests while hiking and in the lab with a panel of customers, we measured the thermal resistance of our shoes. This is how we pinpoint the comfort temperature (100% satisfaction) and the limit temperature (70% satisfaction).
