Stitches came out in 3days of use.

I'm the fan of brand Quechua, Im using shoe, jacket, rucksack bag and many other products from more than 7 year now. I'm very satisfied customer till then. In November I brought Quechua snow jacket for my Himalayan trekking The jacket was good till first day end.
On second day he stitch came out. And full 5 day trekking expedition I suffered could and wind badly because
temperature is raining from -9 to-14. I'm very upset with this jacket and the brand. I'm hardly used the jacket for week. I'm not suggesting this anyone. Be careful stitches are not up to the mark for the price what we pay.

    Brand's answer :

Thanks for the feedback on the Quechua SH500 jacket and I apologise for the inconvenience and discomfort caused. This particular jacket has not been designed for such expeditions. With it featuring in our snow hiking range, it is designed for lowland day walks in snowy conditions/terrain. Furthermore, it isn't designed to be worn with large trekking rucksacks so will not be as durable as a specific trekking jacket. If you are looking for durable and highly resistant trekking jackets, then check out our trekking range ( We produce compact, lightweight and warm mid layers for insulation as well as durable and waterproof outer jackets designed to be used in severe conditions as well as with rucksacks.

    Quechua SH500 review.

Great jacket. Very, very warm. Enough pockets and hood - although hood easily blows off head if walking into the wind. Light.

Storage Tips
We recommend washing this jacket with its zip closed. Always make sure that this waterproof protective garment is completely dry before storing it.

This jacket is sized to be worn with a warm second layer, such as a light down jacket or fleece, underneath.
Outer: 2 lined pockets with a snap closing flap, very soft and very warm fleece lining for the hands. Inside: 1 secured pocket closed with velcro.
Elastic drawcords and toggles.
Velcro tab fasteners.
A fabric's resistance to water pressure is measured by the height of a column of water that can be supported by the fabric in mm (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with 2000 mm waterproof rating can therefore withstand the pressure of a 2000 mm column of water (which is approximately equivalent to a 2-hour rain shower).
This garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the conditions of a rain shower in winter.
Care products: spray or liquid water-repellent treatment in the washing machine. To regenerate the water repellent characteristic of the fabric and optimise the performance of your garment throughout its lifetime, we recommend the use of such products at least during each wash.
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over the entire lifecycle of the product using different indicators. An overall rating of ABCDE is provided to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type with each other (t-shirts, trousers and backpacks.). Decathlon is a voluntary participant in this environmental labelling initiative. For further information:
