    Excellent jacket

This is a really good jacket and well worth the money. Performs like a jacket twice the price. Usual thing with Decathlon, buy a size bigger (I'm a large and went for the XL - fits like a glove). don't concur with the earlier comments about the elbows. Not an issue. Only down side is that there are no toggles on the hood to draw it down and keep it there. Apart from that, just great

    Great warmth but very fragile

This is a fanatically warm and comfortable jacket with surprisingly good water resistance. But it has onr major flaw. Apart from the areas reinforced with ripstop material, the main fabric is incredibly fragile. More fragile than any other down jacket I have owned. After just a few days of light wear an abrasion from the zip of the jacket itself caused a minor knick in the fabric and now feathers are leaking out. It’s potentially a great product but areas of the fabric are so fragile I’m afraid to wear it even in light day to day use.

    Now exploring repair options.

Features

Fill Power of the down/feather filling
For this down jacket with its 85/15 filling, the fill power is guaranteed to be 660 CUIN or more. The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation and its potential to "trap" air. The higher the fill power of the down (the higher the CUIN number), the more space it occupies, thereby trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
Feather origin
Thanks to our traceability system, we can guarantee the origin of the feathers, which are sourced in accordance with our responsible material commitments. Our suppliers are committed to using only feathers that come from ducks that are bred for their meat and which are plucked after slaughtering. http://developpement-durable.decathlon.com/documents-et-rapports/documents/
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling*
The down's long-lasting fill power gives it 3 important qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra-low weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same level of insulation. This saves even more weight in your backpack - Ultra-compressible *Our feathers come from Chinese ducks raised for their meat – we collect their feathers after they have been slaughtered.
Care instructions for jackets filled with down and feathers
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow our advice by clicking the link below: <a href="http://www.quechua.com/wash-your-down-jacket" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.quechua.fr/sites/quechua_com/files/image-entretien-doudoune.jpg" alt="How to wash and dry your down jacket"><br>http://www.quechua.com/wash-your-down-jacket</a>
In the event of rain
This down jacket fabric is water-repellent. It makes drops of water run off the surface, which delays the time it takes for water to get inside the down jacket, giving you time to get out of the rain. The shoulders and hood of the down jacket, which are more exposed to the rain, are waterproof. However, we advise you to wear a waterproof jacket over the down jacket in case of prolonged exposure to rain.
