Not had a down filled 'duvet' style jacket before. So warm! If you're cold don't hesitate just buy one...you won't regret it.

Inflating Power of down/feather filling
For this down jacket with its 85/15 filling, the inflating power is guaranteed to be 660 CUIN or above. The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. Down with higher fill power takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
The advantages of duck down and feather filling*
The durable and inflating properties of down give this jacket 3 qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra low weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This allows you to lighten the load in your backpack - Ultra compactable * Our feathers come from Chinese ducks reared for their meat; we remove their feathers after slaughter. We hold the death certificates for these ducks.
Care advice for a down jacket with down and feather filling
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow our advice by clicking on the link below: <a href="http://www.quechua.com/wash-your-down-jacket" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.quechua.fr/sites/quechua_com/files/image-entretien-doudoune.jpg" alt="How to wash and dry your down jacket"><br>http://www.quechua.com/wash-your-down-jacket</a>
In case of rain
The material of the quilted jacket is water repellent. It allows drops of water to slide off the fabric which delays the penetration of water into the quilted jacket while you get out of the rain. The shoulders and hood of the jacket, which are more exposed to the rain, are waterproof. We nevertheless recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the quilted jacket in the event of prolonged exposure to the rain.
