    Really impressed!
Fabric, loft power, design, fit . . . all of it. Actually . . . nothing

I've been mountain walking for years and have owned down jackets by Rab, Mountain Equipment, and have a Montane jacket at the moment. I wanted a down jacket for my girlfriend and although the online write-up looked very good there is nothing like seeing a jacket in front of you. The jacket is every bit as good as the write up! Really nice fabrics, great loft, lovely touches to the design such as the cuff gaitor being slightly hidden up the reinforced fabric sleeve and the pocket zips being concealed. Pit ventilation zips on a product of this price is amazing. I loved it as soon as I got my hands on it and my girlfriend does too. Would definitely recommend! 100%

Features

Inflating Power of down/feather filling
For this down jacket with its 85/15 filling, the inflating power is guaranteed to be 660 CUIN or above. The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. Down with higher fill power takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
The advantages of duck down and feather filling*
The durable and inflating properties of down give this jacket 3 qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra low weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This enables less weight to be carried in the rucksack - Ultra compressible * Our feathers come from Chinese ducks reared for their meat, we collect the feathers after their slaughter.
Care advice for a gilet filled with down and feather
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow our advice by clicking on the below link: <a href="http://www.quechua.com/wash-your-down-jacket" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.quechua.fr/sites/quechua_com/files/image-entretien-doudoune.jpg" alt="How to wash and dry your down jacket"><br>http://www.quechua.com/wash-your-down-jacket</a>
In case of rain
The material of the quilted jacket is water repellent. It allows drops of water to slide off the fabric which delays the penetration of water into the quilted jacket while you get out of the rain. The shoulders and hood of the jacket, which are more exposed to the rain, are waterproof. We nevertheless recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the quilted jacket in the event of prolonged exposure to the rain.
